Proposed design of East Washington Avenue bridge over Yahara River.
The City of Madison is planning a ten year reconstruction of this major boulevard beginning in 2003. SASYNA is evaluating the design of the new street to assure it becomes a human scale road which is friendly to pedestrians and bicycles, and minimizes impacts on the neighborhood. The SASYNA council has met with city project staff to encourage the design to reflect neighborhood resident expectations.
