In the summer of 2000 residents of Madison Wisconsin  became curators of the largest donation of public sculpture in  the city's history. Thirteen of nearly 70 concrete works of art created by folk  artist Sid Boyum, and donated by his son Steven Boyum,  were sited in the parks and along the pathways of Sid's near-east side neighborhood.  "The Sid Boyum Sculpture Project" chronicles this unique  public art project's democratic process, and celebrates the  work and dedication of Sid's friends, neighbors, and admirers. You've seen the sculptures, now learn how they got there!
